The Story of Carolina Gems begins in South Florida in the mid 90’s. Where a young couple began their journey traveling the country selling artisan crafted jewelry on the wholesale market. In the early 2000’s they settled in WNC and opened The Chimney Rock Gemstone Mine. Quickly, the retail shop became known as the source of the best gem mining in the area and housed the largest selection of Sterling Silver Jewelry in Western North Carolina. The Greenville Gemstone Mine became their 3rd & 4th locations in the Greenville, South Carolina. In 2021, in an effort to meet specific requests of long time customers The Sacred Chakra was created. Sacred Chakra aims to be the largest and best selection of metaphysical items, books, herbs, and crystals. Carolina Gems is the current evolution of 30 years of business and trusted customer trends.
